Are you an artist that would like to earn a $500 scholarship with your skills?

Poly Graphics Invitations is proud to support a talented artist who is planning to attend college in the Fall of 2012

You qualify if:

  • You are at least 15 years old and will attend college in the Fall of 2012
  • You have creative skills and talents
  • You would like some assistance with your college fees
  • You have the skills to design an original invitation or announcement that is appealing to others
  • You have access to a computer with drawing software

Here was how you could participate:

  • Use your skills and talents to create an orignal invitation or announcement design
  • Email or send in your completed design(s) before April 29, 2012
  • The scholarship winner will be announced on or around May 7, 2012 and will be posted to this page

Important Information about this Scholarship

  • Designs will be judged by the following criteria:
    • Originality (25%)
    • Creativity (25%)
    • Popularity Potential (25%)
    • Overall Excellence (25%)
  • You may only submit 2 different designs with your application - please submit your best work!
  • You may design a single invitation or a set consisting of either invitation and note card or invitation, note card, and response cards.
  • Format your invitation design to fit inside a 5.25 inch by 7.25 inch envelope. Your design may overlap (or bleed), but the main information, both graphic and text, must fit within 5 inch by 7 inch barriers. Note cards and response cards should be sized to fit inside a 4.5 inch by 5.75 inch envelope.
  • Invitation designs may be created to fit either portrait mode (with a 5" base) or landscape mode (with a 7" base)
  • Poly Graphics creates printed cards - keep in mind that your design may be printed
  • IMPORTANT: Designs may be submitted in only these formats: .ai, .cdr, .psd, or .wmf. Please use software that can save for file in one of these formats
  • The audience for your design is the entire United States, although invitations for local events may be considered for this award, designs that are apply to celebrations that occur nationwide may receive higher scoring marks by the judges
